Obituary of Angus Joseph Dunford

Dunford, Angus Joseph- Age 59, known to many as Gus-C or Angy, passed away September 10, 2014 at the QEII Halifax infirmary site. Born in Halifax on October 10, 1954, Angus was a son of the late George and Catherine (MacDonald) Dunford. Pool was once a passion of Angus’s as he became a certified coach while in Las Vegas. In addition, working on antique cars from the 1950’s was a favorite hobby of his. Along with his passion for cars, Angus collected model trains. He was also involved with the Halifax Police Association. Above all of these hobbies, Angus loved and devoted his life to his family. Although much of his family was scattered, Angus made sure that they still remained very close. A ngus leaves behind his loving wife Wendy (O’Shea) Dunford; his only daughter Katie (Sean), Halifax; his 17 brothers and sisters along with many nieces and nephews and their children. Angus will also be missed by his beloved dog Lily and his ferrets. Angus was pre-deceased by his parents and 7 of his brothers. The family would like to extend their gratitude to all the great care and attention Angus received from the doctors (Walsh and Colwell) along with all of the hard working and caring nurses at the QE2 that took care of him over this trying time in all of our lives. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Rd, Halifax (477-5601) where a service of remembrance will take place on Monday September 15 at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Angus’s name can be made to The Children’s Wish Foundation
