At the age of 16, she moved to Sambro and had a brief career at Simpson Sears and then became a homemaker after she married her late husband Granville of 50 years.  She enjoyed going for scenic drives, spending time with family and friends, doing the weekly Lexicon and was an avid Coronation Street fan. Beside her mother, she is survived by her two children Victor (Kim), Sambro and Jo-Anne, Halifax; grandsons Bob and Mark; sisters, Marg (Tom) Monk, Ostrea Lake and Barbara (Randy) Power, East Jeddore; sisters-in-law Marg Gray, Cambridge and Nancy Marryatt, Sambro; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  She was predeceased by her husband Granville in 2010, two children Peter and Andrew in infancy, brothers-in-law, Keith Gray and Hugh Marryatt.

Cremation has taken place under the care of J. Albert walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd.
