I hadn't been in touch with Jamie since after high school but I have thought about him and his brother Joseph who were so kind to me.
Jamie had a kind of genius in him, I thought. Jamie was a humanist with a deep curiosity about all things, especially scientific, a rare thing in rough Spryfield.
Yet, he mixed with many people, and everyone liked him. His energy was infectious and I always felt like he was concocting some experiment, that he was planning something. Pretty special.
