I am deeply sorry for your loss, I know the heartache of losing a loved one. Soon the God of Comfort will bring an end to death and wipe away the tears from all faces, for this has been promised at Isaiah 25:8. We can also look forward to the marvelous hope brought out at Acts 24:15 There we see that those we lost in death will be brought back to life here on earth. I do hope you find comfort in this as I have. Mythoughts are with you
Sincerely, Janet

To the wonderful family of the late Betty Zwicker -
Your mother, grandmother and great-grandmother was an inspiring, fun-loving (yet matter of fact), and impassioned individual. My initial contact came through the Halifax Concert Band, back in 1990 when I joined them. She was most welcoming, and ran the "books" with an iron grasp, for many years (she far preferred in-come to out-go). We became closer as 10 years ago we moved to form the Halifax Concert Band Society; again Betty was our Treasurer and Agent, responsible for all of the society's Rev Can interactions. Around this same time I started doing Aquafit at the Waeg, and Betty was there - keeping us going and entertaining us with her stories! Nothing would keep her down!
I will miss her counsel, her laugh, and her updates on her family.
A truly remarkable woman, I am so glad that I had the opportunity to have been "an affiliate" for close to 30 years.
With sincere condolences and quiet celebration for a remarkable life that was truly well-lived.
Sincerely,
Becky Campbell
Vice President
Halifax Concert Band Society
(and lapsed Aquafit participant)

Sincere condolences and deepest sympathy from Ken Howells and family.
I play in the Halifax Concert band and remember Betty very well playing in the flute section and as Treasurer. As I am originally from UK, Betty and I chatted on numerous occasions during band functions and after practices.
I also recall Betty at recent Tupper band concerts in the Parkland auditorium.

To Betty’s family,
NL
My condolences to all of you on the loss of your mother, grandmother & great grandmother. I played tennis with Betty for many years at the indoor tennis facility at Bayer’s Lake. Even when her knees began to fail her and her mobility declined she played a strong game. Her great athletic abilities were obvious to all of us. She was also a lovely lady and I feel lucky to have known her. Betty was very proud of her family and shared many of your accomplishments with us. She also had an interest in all of us and our families as well. We were planning a Lunch with Betty later this month at Parkland and I was looking forward to seeing her. We always had a great time reminiscing about our tennis days and catching up. Hopefully your many wonderful memories will make your loss more bearable. Take care.
Sincerely,
Donna Campbell

To Sheila, Valerie, Diane and their wonderful families,
There are so many memories of Betty it is really hard to choose one or two. My first memory of Betty is the great birthday parties she had for you girls when we were all much younger! Another fun memory is when Betty and Edwin joined Bill and Ruth and other family members for a day of cross country skiing and a lunch cookout over an open fire pit in the woods. This day trip was not for the faint of heart! It was always fun when Betty fell down only to lose her pole in the deep snow . The laughter that followed made us all weak and totally useless. We always assured Betty that we were laughing with her not at her! She was a great sport! It was all great fun! I think a few skiers enjoyed hot toddies when they managed to drag themselves back to the cottage at the lake in Mt. Uniacke. Betty was a wonderful friend to my Mom Ruth. She and Betty had some great visits and shared the same birthdate just a few years younger than Mom! Cherish your memories. Betty was a special lady.
Our thoughts are with all of you! Elizabeth, Alvin and family and Ruth
