Obituary of Joan Caroline Frances Briand

Age 78, Halifax, passed away August 11, 2019 at the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Amelia “Molly” (Amos) Marriott.

She is survived by son, Darrell; grandson, Darcy; great grandchildren, Rylan and Greyson; niece, Susan and nephews, Gary, Kevin and long time friends Donna Kent and Lorraine Newcome. She was predeceased by former husband, William “Billy” Briand; brother James Marriott and niece Linda.

Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday August 16 at 1p.m. from Emmanuel Anglican Church 322 Herring Cove Rd. Reception to follow in church hall. Interment to take place in Emmanuel Anglican Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to Emmanuel Anglican Church.
