Obituary of Marilyn Elise Jean Goucher
Age 81, Caledonia, formerly of Spryfield, passed away with her daughters, Debbie and Linda by her side on December 15, 2019. Born February 18, 1938 in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Margarite (Isnor) Baker.
Marilyn was a member of the Spryfield Legion, Royal Br. 152 & the Ladies Auxiliary. She loved dancing, bingo, camping, traveling. She also loved cats, knitting, puzzles and word books. She is survived by daughters, Deborah Mailman (Danny), Pleasant River; Linda Colp (Darrell), Lake Echo; brother, Russell Baker; sisters, Marie Greenwood, Kathleen Vaughn, Joan Moulton and Barbara Oakley; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, William (Bill); son, Billy; infant grandson; a companion Ronald Salter; a brother, Robert Baker; sisters, Blanche Roache, Helen Lane, Lillian Mikkleson and Edith LeBlanc.
Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. 149 Herring Cove Rd. where a Celebration of Life will be held Saturday December 21 from 10-12 am. Private family interment to take place at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lower Sackville. Luncheon to take place at the Spryfield Legion from 12 - 3 pm. The family would like to thank North Queen Nursing Home for the wonderful care given to Marilyn for the last six years.
