I knew Owen (OB) while working with City of Halifax. He had a great sense of humor, always smiling and happy; if you were in his presence, you were smiling. My sincere condolences to his family and friends especially his best friend Bert Smith.

Even though we were best friends O We Were like brothers. You and i been though a lot together. I will remember all the laughs we had together and the many good times we had together, as well. My heart aches right now knowing gods angles came and took you home. But I know you are in a better place. No more pain in your hands and feet, because i remember you telling me this when i took you to your doctor's appointments. You were more to me then a best friend you were my brother and i will charish all the things we did together. Even though your journey ended here on earth it's just begins in heaven. So do the mashed pototoe dance in heaven like you did so many times here on earth. And I will see you again one day. Thank you for helping me get a job with HRM, if it wasn't for you I would not have been working there for 30 years, thank you my brother. This is not goodbye, this is just time apart for now. SO Keep everyone laughing O, and say hello to Mom & Dad for me tell them I love them Always. Ann and Tylene will miss you also. Ann liked you the first time she met you 6 years ago and as for Tylene, you will always be her Uncle Owen. I Remember when Tylene was a infant you held her in your arms and huged her tightly and that was 32 years ago. So that goes to show you how long you been in our family. So you will never be forgotten O. God Bless you my brother R.I P. Love you forever.

Please accept our deepest sympathy for the passing of your father. Your dad and my mom had become good friends over the last year or so. They both loved the garden and spent hours there , weather permitting. Sometimes you dad joined in with us when we visited our mom. He told us of you, his children and how proud he was if you. Later your dad, another resident and a son of two residents played cards in moms room, they enjoyed each others company.
Sometimes they were laughing so much they staff had to tell them to quiet down. My mom is his friend Bubbles, who will miss dearly. RIP Owen it was a please to have known you.
