Obituary of Fredrick Walter Brackett

Age 55, of Dartmouth (formerly of Kline Heights) passed away April 27/20 peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. Son of Carolyn Slaunwhite and the late Fred Brackett. After a five month courageous battle with cancer God has taken him home.

Fred is survived by his multi decade sweetheart, Dan; mother, Carolyn, Dartmouth; sister, Carla (Jim), Dartmouth; niece, Lacey (Terry), Dartmouth; nephew, Ryan (Nikki), Sackville, great niece, Marissa & his fur baby Precious. He was predeceased by his father Fred, brother Carl James & many aunts & uncles.

Anyone who has ever met Fred would agree he was a kind hearted man with an infectious smile. His compassion for people led him to becoming a CCA with Northwood home care. This was his greatest accomplishment. Fred’s passions were gardening, playing guitar, baking he was also artistic & enjoyed a glass of wine. You would find Fred at his favourite Tim's on Osborne Dr. chatting with the parking lot gang.

Arrangements and cremation are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. Memorial donations can be made to the Cancer Society. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
