Etta, I am so sorry to hear about Tom's passing. He was way too young. He was never afraid of hard work and was always there to help others. He was very proud of whatever he built or worked on. He was always so kind to children and loved animals. Although it has been quite some time since we last spoke I am sure he never stopped doing some kind of project.

Sending my sympathies and condolences to Tom's family. Tom was one of my oldest friends; my entire life in fact. Our families were close. I have many good childhood memories of building forts in the trees in front of Tom's family house, building buggies to coast down Central Ave, or poking around the garage of the old family house where Tom always had something interesting on the go. His ingenuity amazed me in the way he could make ordinary items serve a different purpose. I still remember the smells of the old tractor and back hoes, and riding in the old 52 Chev with his dad when we were kids, then later with Tom as late teens when Tom restored it and did a great job doing so. Life has a way of making people busy and with time lose contact, but every once and a while when I bumped in to Tom, it was like no time had passed. I am deeply saddened by his passing. My thoughts go out to his family and friends who will miss Tom as well.

The picture was taken in 1970. Tom is 2nd from the right, and his sister Etta is on the far left. I am at the cake, my brother Reg is between Tom and me. Chris Godin is on the far right.
