Obituary of Richard A. Steers

72, Halifax, passed away unexpectedly at his home on February 18, 2023.  Born in Halifax, he is a son of LaVerne Steers and the late Evelyn Bernice (Gallagher) Steers.  Throughout his life, Richard was a private person.  He was a perfectionist.  He loved to play guitar and had created quite a collection of guitars over the years.  He was a trained chef and cook.  He loved to navigate around the kitchen.  He also had a passion for painting and was very talented, as you can see in the pictures displayed.

Richard is survived by his father, Vern, and his brother, Larry.  He was predeceased by his mother, Bernice and a sister, Linda Lunn.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no service or visitation.  A private family graveside service will be held at a later date in St. James’ Anglican Cemetery, ort Dufferin, NS.  In memory of Richard, please make donations to the charity of one’s choice.
