My life long memory (and lesson) of dad was his trip to the police station at 3 am to pick me up. At around age 14 I was picked up by a policeman after a late night stroll during an outside sleepover. I had plenty of time in the station to imagine the discipline I would get when my dad would show up. Instead, I got the silent treatment. Nothing was said between us on the ride home. I believe he understood that I knew the gravity of my actions...and I did! His gentle way of accepting my mistakes spoke volumes to my character. He was a man of few words but I always knew what he was thinking when it came to discipline, but he never made me to feel a disappointment. He is my mentor in character building. Thanks dad, I will see you again! Dave

I will always remember my Father as the man who taught me how to be confident in myself and believe that I could accomplish anything that I set my mind to. As his oldest son, I was proud to accompany him on handyman jobs that he worked after his full time firefighters shifts, to support his large family. He taught me that I could build or fix anything myself. I went on to be a Refrigeration Tech, supervisor, Foreman, technical directer, and a good Father myself. All thanks to Him giving me the start in life that I needed. He taught me BY EXAMPLE, how to be a Good Man, Husband, Father, and Grandfather. I have been seeing His face in my mirror for years now, and I often asked that man " What would HE do " when I faced hard choices.
We'll all miss you Dad, and look forward to seeing you and Mom together again.

I am saddened to read of Albert's death this morning. In his own quiet way, Albert was a pillar of St. Michael's Parish and will be greatly missed.
