To Wayne’s family, Wayne interviewed and hired me at Shannex in 1999. The next 14 years we worked closely together and became great friends. Wayne was so funny and one of the most dedicated employees Shannex was fortunate to have for so long. He was so respected in the work he did there. He was very private too and didn’t let just anyone get close to him so if he did, then you would be the beneficiary of a loyal and special friend. Tom and I were honoured to attend Wayne and Danny’s wedding. It was a special evening. Wayne and Dan were each other’s best friend. Wayne was the happiness I had ever seen him after meeting Dan. They had a special bond. I was shocked to learn of his passing. My heart goes out to each of you. He was special and I will miss him dearly. May he and Dan Rest In Peace together. Wayne was such a great person and I had the pleasure to work with him for 20 years at Shannex. As a fellow Newfoundlander Wayne always knew how to share a good laugh and will be missed by all. No matter how busy he was, he always stopped to ask how things were going when our paths crossed. Rest in peace my friend.

We were so sorry to hear about Wayne’s passing. I know you must all be heartbroken. We just finished watching the celebration of Wayne’s life. You guys all did a beautiful job. I know you will all miss Wayne in the days to come but you will meet him again some and it will be a great reunion.

Such a loss…a beautiful spirit gone too soon. I had the honor of working with Wayne for almost 30 years. Every encounter was so genuine and special. It was an honor to call Wayne my friend. He was larger than life, lit up every room he entered and enriched every meeting he ever attended. Such a caring, compassionate person and so respected in both the health care and human resource sectors - by staff and management. Simply put he was the best HR recruiter in Atlantic Canada and possibly beyond. He and I shared so many laughs during our work travels. I will miss him so much. Rest in peace my friend. The next Jack Daniel's is on me.

To the family and friends of Wayne,
I am saddened and shocked by the sudden passing of Wayne. I hope you find comfort knowing he is reunited with Danny.
I was privileged to have worked with both Wayne and Danny. Wayne’s presence was always greater than any room he entered. Absolutely loved chatting with Wayne, always made me laugh. Danny was so kind and sweet, always smiling and up for a chat.

Uncle Wayne was such a great person. He was full of life, frank, sarcastic, and funny. I always laughed in his presence. I can’t believe that he is gone so quickly. At least there is comfort in knowing that he is with Danny. We will all miss him.

Wayne was such an amazing friend and brother in law. I have no idea how to process his passing, as I'm sure you all are the same way. To the White Family
So sorry to hear of Wayne’s passing. It came to me as a shock! Myself and Wayne grew up together in Cottrell’s Cove all those many years ago. We were best buddies. I remember going with Wayne to his mom and dads and he would lend me his books to read. As teenage boys we often found ourselves in trouble with our parents. I recall a time when the two of us attempted to climb the cliffs behind our property. We decided I would go first and Wayne would follow. Unfortunately, when I was close to the top I grabbed ahold of a tree which was rotted. Back over the cliff I went, tearing my new trousers and cutting my knee. Wayne decided not to attempt the climb. Wayne was my best friend growing up. Rest In Peace my friend! Until we meet again.

To my beautiful sister in law and my brother Brad and all of the White family, Myself and Bill were both shocked yesterday when we got this news about Wayne, We never dreamed for a moment that this would happen, When he popped into our place in NL in late August it was so good to see him. Sharon we know how close you are with your family and our heart aches for you right now. I wished we lived closer so we could give you a big hug.
