Obituary of Diane Rose Johnson

47, Spryfield, passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at the VG Site, QEII, Halifax, surrounded by her loving family, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born December 28, 1962 in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Robert Lloyd “Bob” and Mary Berthina (Legere) Paul. Diane loved life to the fullest and will be remembered as a care-free spirit who lived life her own way. During her life, Diane was passionate about music, horses and animals. She enjoyed painting and was an artist. She loved her family dearly and will fondly be remembered by her only son, Joey Johnson (Alyssa Halket), Medicine Hat, AB, her sister, Anne Marie Marshall (Kirk), brother, David Paul, her former husband, Joe Johnson, all of Spryfield; grandmother, Viola Legere; her beloved nieces, Lisa Marie Connor and Julie Anne Connor, nephews, Shawn Paul and Danny Paul, her dear childhood friend, Terri (Spares) Baker (Laurie), as well as numerous cousins, aunts, an uncle and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Berthina Paul in 2005. As per Diane’s request, cremation has taken place under the direction of JA Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, NS (477.5601), where a service will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2010 at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in memory of Diane may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
