Obituary of John Moser
Moser, John Henry: 75, Halifax, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at the VG Hospital, Halifax, following a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Richard and Gertrude (Yeadon) Moser. John had operated a service station for 25 years, and later worked in automotive sales until his retirement. He was the last remaining chartered member of the Spryfield Lions Club. John will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his loving wife of 55 years, Dorothy (Hamilton), his children, Janet Simon (Philip), Winnipeg, MB, Susan Watts (Sidney), Kilmuir, PEI, JoAnne Dobson (Milton), Burlington, ON, and Paul Moser (Cindy), Lake Charlotte, NS, a sister, Helen MacDonald (James), Halifax, NS, as well as 10 treasured grandchildren, 2 special great-grandchildren and many other family members. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to the Palliative Care staff of 5A and 7A of the VG for all of the care and compassion shown to John.
Cremation has taken place under the care of JA Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, NS (477.5601), where a memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 11:30 AM from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Carl Price officiating, followed by a reception. Interment will take place in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lower Sackville, NS, following the reception.
