Obituary of Arthur Edmund Blanchard

- Halifax, passed away with his loving family by his side October 20, 2010 in the Halifax Infirmary. Born in East Jeddore, he was the son of the late Edmond and Mary (Hashie) Blanchard. Art served as a HRM fire fighter for 35 years, was an avid sportsman and loved his home away from home in Melrose. Art is survived by his wife Marion (Beed); step son Kevin Shoebridge (Trish North); step grandson Kenyon Shoebridge (Trudy). He was predeceased by step grand daughter Tara- Nicole Shoebridge. Cremation has taken place under the care of J.A Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. By request there will be no visitation. A private family graveside service will be held. Donations in memory, may be made to the Parkinson’s Society.
