Obituary of George Harding

Harding, George Wallace- 68 of Halifax, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 31, 2011 at the New Halifax Infirmary. George was born in Halifax, the son of the late Earl Wallace and Mary (Deveax) Harding. George was known to by all to have a great sense of humor and never at a loss for words. During his younger years he was very interested in drawing and kept a leather bag with a wonderful selection of his work. When his first granddaughter was born, it didn’t take long to peak her interest in drawing and now has her grandfather’s talent. Scott also has that talent for drawing. George loved his grandchildren and visited as much as he could. George was an avid dart player at the Fairview Legion for over 40 years and always bringing home trophies. George was a loyal employee at the two jobs he worked until his retirement, Nickerson & Crease, and later from Atlantic Wholesales. He also like going to Tim Horton’s for coffee with his brothers, going for a nice scenic drive, or helping Kenny with his carpenter jobs. He enjoyed listening to the boys play music at his daughter Trina’s garage. He always wished he could be the next lucky person to win the lottery. George will be sadly missed by all. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Helena (Hatch), children, Kenny (Angie), Trina (Glenn) and Scott, grandchildren, Morgan, Ashley, Cody, Kaitlin, Kyle and Braydon, brothers and sisters, David, Ronnie (Mary), Donnie, Roger (Wanda), Gary (Pat), Nancy (Clary), Linda, all of Halifax, and Louise (Ben) Butcher, England, many nieces and nephews.
