Obituary of Myrtle Eileen Mountain

Mountain, Myrtle Eileen - 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 6th, 2011 in the QEII Health Sciences Center. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Laura (Lloyd) Smith. Myrtle was a long time member of the Legion Branch #152. She loved bingo, playing cards and dancing the jive. She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Charlie, Cow Bay and Raymond, Vancouver; daughters Eileen Findlay, Cape Breton and Phyllis Croke, Halifax; many grandchildren, great-grand children and 1 great-great grandchild; sister Evelyn Cranton, Nanaimo, BC; foster daughter Ann Prichard, Halifax. She was predeceased by husband George and daughter Debbie. Arrangements are under the direction of J. A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax (477-5601) where visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 9 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 10 at 11 AM from the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow in Oakridge Memory Gardens, Lower Sackville.
