Obituary of Marcel Petrossie

93, Halifax, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on November 1, 2011. Born in Glace Bay, Cape Breton, he was a son of the late John and Mary “Marie” (Randoure) Petrossie. He had worked for the CN Railroad until his retirement. He was a member of the Canadian Army and loved to reminisce about his train travels through Western Canada, he loved to play cards with his family and friends, he enjoyed teasing and playing with his grandchildren and he also had a great fondness for horses. He is survived by sons; David (Margaret), Lanny (Roxanne), Carl, Lonnie, Phillip, Jan (Rita); daughters; Sharon Dann (Walter), Lucy Adams (Jack), Carolyn Hovey (Lloyd), Donna Pothier (Charles), Janice Little (Keith), all of Halifax, 23 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Jennie Pearl, first wife Ellen; sons; Fred, Michael, John and baby in infancy; brother; Fred, sister; Emma, grandson; Dwayne. A memorial service took place on Friday November 4 from the J.A Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., followed by the interment in Oakridge Memory Gardens Lower Sackville.
