Obituary of Jean Lillian Charlton

87, Halifax. Beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2011, in Melville Gardens. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Norman and Florence (McCully) Mackie. Jean is survived by daughter, Sandra Dauphinee (Howard); grandsons, Lawrence Louis Dauphinee (Keri) and Lonsdale William Dauphinee (Brenda); great grandson, Joshua Louis Dauphinee; sisters, Doris Dean (Gorden), Helen Hartlen, Joan Barbour and Carol Curran; many nephews and nieces. Jean was predeceased by her husband, Louis John and sister, Eva Woodrow. Arrangements are under the direction of J. A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax where a Service of Remembrance will be held on Tuesday, November 1, at 11AM, Rev. Dianna Frye officiating. Private family interment to follow in St. John’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jean’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
