Obituary of Thomas Morgan Holder

HOLDER, Thomas Morgan – 82, Halifax, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 in the QEII, Abby Lane. Born in Shelburne, he was a son of the late John and Gladys (Wournell) Holder. Thomas was in the service for many years and then went to work for CNR, later returning to DND until his retirement. He will lovingly be remembered and never forgotten by his wife, Rose (Muise); son, Paul (Joy), Timberlea; daughter, Dale Bonin (Sam), Lakeside; grandchildren, Krista, Anthony, Raymond and Tiffany; great-granddaughters, Alexa and Alivea; step-mother, Hilda Levy, Jordan Falls; sisters, Juanita Los (Anton), Eastern Passage; Verlie Hopper, Gays River; Linda Perry (Joseph), Jordan Falls; step-brother, Robert Bradley (Nancy), Sackville; step-sister, Harriett Cockraine (John), Windsor; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by son, Ray; brother, John; brother in-law, Doug. Arrangements are under the direction of J. A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. In keeping with Thomas’ wishes, there will be no visitation. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, October 20 at 2 PM from St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Roman Catholic Church, Father Joe MacKinnon officiating. A reception will follow the service in the parish hall. Interment to be held at a later date. Family flowers only, donations in Thomas’ memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
