Obituary of Elizabeth P. Betty Cottreau

Cottreau, Elizabeth (Betty): Dartmouth, NS, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, September 23, 2011, at the VG Site, QEII, Halifax, NS. Born in Kentville, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Grace (Arenburg) Semenick. Betty is survived by her four daughters, Debra Hoadley (Rob), Halifax, Cindy Cottreau, Dartmouth, Kimberly Moore, Mississauga, ON, and Beth Cottreau (Tony), Dartmouth, sisters, Helena Zebedee (Ron), Kamloops, BC, and Shirley Tripp (Don), Edmonton, AB, her treasured grandchildren, Hollie, Trina (Greg), Jennifer, Leigh-Anne, Melanie, Joshua and Lauren, her great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Grace, Blaze, and Jackson, as well as many nieces and nephews and her cherished pets. Betty was predeceased by her mother, Grace MacDonald, step-father, Leverette MacDonald, sister, Glenda Crewe and nephew, Cory Crewe. Betty and her family wish to extend special thanks to the nurses and doctors, especially Dr. Stephanie Snow, from 8A and the chaplains of the VG site. As per Betty's request, cremation has taken place under the care of JA Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, NS (477.5601), where a memorial service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, September 26, 2011 at 10:00 AM. Reception to immediately follow the service. Interment will take place in St. John's Cemetery, 6 Bedford Highway, Halifax, NS.
