Obituary of Coleen Margaret Steele

59, Herring Cove, passed away with her family by her side on September 13, 2011 in the Palliative Care Unit, V.G. Site, QEII. Born in Herring Cove she is a daughter of Douglas and Florence (Hill) Power, Herring Cove. Besides her parents, Coleen is survived by loving husband William “Bill”; daughters Amanda, Russia, USSR; Melissa, Halifax; brother; Gordon Power (Mona Lee), Herring Cove; sister; Linda Cleveland, Herring Cove. She was predeceased by brother; David Power and brother-in-law; Barry Cleveland. She will also be missed by her pool and Tim Horton buddies, crafting friends at Time Out in Dartmouth, and her babies Pugsley and Daisy. Cremation has taken place under the care of J.A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. No visitation by request. A funeral mass will be held on Friday September 16, at 10a.m. from St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, Hebridean Dr., Herring Cove, Father Zachary Romanowsky as celebrant. A reception will follow in church hall. Interment to take place at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to Breast Cancer Foundation.
