Obituary of Catherine Elizabeth Kitty Tramble

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Catherine “Kitty” Tramble who died peacefully in her sleep on August 26, 2011 at the age of 75. Kitty was born on September 30, 1935 in Antigonish. She graduated from the Halifax Infirmary School of Nursing in 1958. Not long after graduation she met Joe, the love of her life. They were married on October 17, 1961. Kitty spent the next 35 years dividing her time between her two great passions, raising her family and nursing at the Halifax Infirmary where she was the night supervisor. In her rare moments of free time Kitty enjoyed reading, knitting, needle point, quilting, a good game of rummy and laughing – she always said it’s good to laugh. We will all miss her infectious smile and laugh. Kitty is survived by Joseph, her loving husband of nearly 50 years. She will be greatly missed by her children, Joseph (Carol), Brampton, ON; John (Shelley), Halifax; Roderic (Jennifer), London, ON; Mary Elizabeth (David), Saint John, NB; brothers, Patrick (Melinda) Mckenna and Kenny (Mary) Mckenna, both of Brierly Brook; sister, Carol (Wayne) Pelly, Enfield; brothers-in- law, James (Lyn) Tramble, Caledon, ON and Father Eugene Tramble O.S.A., Marylake, ON. She will be tenderly missed by her grandchildren, Stephanie, Meghan, Megan, Joseph, Logan, Madison, Sean and Claudia.
