Obituary of Robert Horace Hoss Wilson
93, Halifax, passed away August 25,2011 in the Veterans Memorial Building. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Robert and Laura (Worth) Wilson. Hoss had served in WWII and later had worked with the Canadian National Railway. He loved horses and his music and was is his glory when all his children got together with their guitars around the piano and had their sing alongs, the more the merrier. Hoss is survived by sons; Robert âBobâ (Diane); Donald (Linda); Joey (Melanie) all of Lower Sackville; Kenny (Josie), Hammonds Plains; Gerald (Kathy) Fall River; daughters; Margaret Young (Peter), Hammonds Plains; Shirley Allison (David), Lower Sackville; Dianna Norris, Tantallon; Joan Perry (Frankie), Halifax; sister; Rita Livingstone, Kelowna, BC; 23 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren and many, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Lillian (McNamara); son Richard in infancy; brother Alonzo; sisters Marjorie, Dorothy âDotâ, Eva, Gladys; grandson J.P.; son-in-law Clifford Norris. Arrangements are under the care of J.A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. 149 Herring Cove Rd. (477-5601), where visitation will be held this evening from 6-8 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral mass will take place Monday August 29 at 10 a.m. from St. John The Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Purcellâs Cove Rd. with Father Joseph Thomas as celebrant. Interment to follow in the Gate Of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
