Obituary of Joyce L. Keigan

Keigan, Joyce L.-78, Halifax, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 14, 2011 at the Veteran’s Memorial Building. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy (Rafuse) and Arthur LeBlanc. She was a loving mother and grandmother, she will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by daughters, Marie (Art); Patricia; Darlene (Ronald); and Kimberly; sons, Robert (Sandy); and Wayne, 15 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren, sisters, Marie and Marilyn, brother, David. Joyce was predeceased by her husband, Harry, son, Harry, brother; Louie and granddaughter Tina. The family extends special thanks to Dr. McKnight and special thank you to the nurses of 3 V-East Veterans Building. Arrangements are under the direction of J. A Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Spryfield (477-5601), where visitation will be held on Friday, August 19 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday, August 20 at 10 a.m. from the funeral home chapel, interment to follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville.
