Obituary of Joan Eileen Lohnes

LOHNES, Joan Eileen, - 57, Halifax, passed away suddenly at home on August 9, 2011. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of Shirley Marryatt, Halifax, and Ronald (Marlene) Fenn, Western Shore. Joan had recently been employed with Halifax Seed. She spent many seasons greeting cruise ship passengers, which she greatly enjoyed. She will fondly be remembered and sadly missed by all who knew and loved her, especially by her daughters. She is survived by her daughters Faythe, Halifax and Cynthia (Clint), Pittsburgh, PA; a sister, Colleen Fenn, Dartmouth, half-brother, Kevin Fenn (Charlene), Houston TX., half-sisters, Tammy Young (Rob), Oromocto, NB, and Barbara (Ewen), Western Shore, her former spouse, Regina Lohnes, as well as her loving fiancé, Brian Faulkner. She will be missed by her three furry grandchildren, Jack John, Opie and Lulu Belle. Arrangements are under the care of J.A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. (477-5601) 149 Herring Cove Rd., where visitation will be on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 2 pm, from the funeral home chapel, with Rev.
