Obituary of Barbara Joan Barb Young

Young, Barbara Joan “Barb”-60, Halifax passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 24, 2011 at the New Halifax Infirmary, with the loving family by her side. Barb loved bingo, crafts and most of all love spending time with family and friends. Barb will be sadly missed by her loving companion, Wendy Fralic of 23 years, son, Che Drysdale, Halifax, daughter Mandy (Sam) Anstey, Grand Bank, NL, grandchildren, Matthew and Sarah, many brothers and sisters, many aunts, uncles, cousins nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sister, Linda and brother, Robert. Arrangements are under the care of J.A. Walker Funeral Home (2005), 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, NS (477-5601), where visitation will be held on Thursday, June 28 from 11 am -1 p.m. A service of remembrance to follow the visitation in the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m., with Rev. Dianna Brett-Frye officiating clergy. Donations in Barb’s memory may be made to the Heart & Stoke Foundation of Nova Scotia or flowers.
