Obituary of Carolyn Ann Corcoran

63, Halifax, passed away with her daughter by her side on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at the New Halifax Infirmary, Halifax, NS. Born in Lunenburg, she was a daughter of the late Joe and Florence Fry. Affectionately known as the Dear Abby of the family, she will be remembered as kind-hearted, caring, always putting others first, and a woman loved her family dearly. Carolyn loved to cook and bake, and her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She is survived by daughters, Annette Corcoran and Madeleine Smith, son, Marlo Corcoran, her grandchildren, Marcus, Tyson, Tyrico, Mya, Araya, Santino, Alisa, and Jayrese, her companion, Terry Fraser, and her best friend of 40 years, Betsy Gray. Cremation has taken place under the care of JA Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, NS (477.5601), where a service will be held in the chapel on Friday, May 13, 2011 at 2 PM.
