Obituary of M. Lucille Campagna

Mary Lucille Campagna passed away quietly in her sleep at the Adelaide Respite Inn on Easter Sunday morning, April 24, 2011. Born in Sydney Mines, Cape Breton, NS, she was a daughter of the late Christina (Tina) Scanlan. She was a loving and caring woman who worked for many years at The Queen’s Printer and was an avid supporter of our Canadian veterans. She is survived by her husband, Donald Campagna and step-family, brother Thomas Scanlan (Janet), Waverley, sister, Sheila Murphy (Gene), Norfolk, VA, aunts, Esther Duggan, Shad Bay, and Helen Scott, Halifax, her nephews, Nicholas, Ronnie, and Chris and grandniece, Kierra. Lucille was predeceased by her loving grandfather, Arthur Young, and her first husband, Ronald Bedgood. Special thanks to all of Lucille’s care-givers, who gave her comfort. Cremation has taken place under the care of JA Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, NS (477.5601), where visitation will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 11 AM from St. James’ Anglican Church, 1 Harrigan Road, Herring Cove, NS, with Rev. Allan Fry as celebrating clergy. Interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery. Family flowers only by request, in lieu, donations may be made in memory of Lucille to St. James’ Anglican Church, Herring Cove, NS.
