Obituary of John Hoather Sansom

SANSOM, John Hoather, - 76, Halifax, passed away suddenly at home on March 30, 2011. Born in Mexico City, Mexico, he was a son of the late Harry and Gwyneth Sansom. John is survived by daughters, Holly Sansom, Victoria, BC. Krista Johnson, Okanagan Falls, BC.; brother, Geoff Sansom (Val), Guelph, ON.; grandchildren, Jennifer Weaver, Erin Inch, Dustin and Bradley Mercredi; great-grandchildren Cameron, Jordan and Huntly. John was predeceased by sons, Keith and David; second wife, Carol; sister, Leslie. Cremation has taken place under the care of J.A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Rd. (477-5601), where visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 6 from 2-4 p.m., followed by a service at 4 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, Rev. Russell Saulnier officiating. Interment to take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made in John’s name to the Nova Scotia Amateur Boxing Association.
