Obituary of Daniel "Dan" Norman

Norman, Daniel Bernard "Dan"- 65, Williamswood, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2011 at the QEII Health Sciences Center, with his loving family by his side. He was the son of the late Reginald and Eileen (MacLean) Norman. Dan in his younger years, was an avid hunter and baseball player, and was very proud of his family who he loved to spend quality time with. He loved his job as a carpenter and working with Jeff and Pam Mailman of D&M Construction. Dan is survived by his loving wife Shirley  (Fougere) of 42 years, daughter Lisa Norman (David Pearson); Chelsea, NS son, Fred (Shelly) Norman, Williamswood,  brothers; Charlie (Anna) and Reginald Norman, both of Spryfield, sister, Anne; Lunenburg, NS, grandson, Noah Norman-Pearson and granddaughter Jessica Norman. He was predeceased by his brothers, Jackie and Billy and sister Bernadette, and granddaughter Ella Norman- Pearson. Arrangements are under the direction of J. A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Rd, Halifax, (477-5601), where visitation will be held on Monday, December 26 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, Spryfield, NS on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 10 a.m Interment will take place in Oakridge Memory Gardens, Lower Sackville, NS.
