Obituary of Charles Robert Davis

DAVIS, Charles Robert – 66, Lower Sackville, passed away peacefully,surrounded by his family on Sunday, January 8, 2012, at home.  Born inToronto, he was a son of the late Walter and Lillian (Brampton) Davis. Charles proudly served in the Royal Canadian Navy for 25 years untilhis retirement. He continued to work for many years and was mostrecently employed with Autochoice. He was a family focused man whowill be remembered for his dedication and love of his family and hissense of humour. He will lovingly be remembered and never forgotten byhis wife, Sandra; daughters, Shelli, Cassandra (Stephen) Isnor, Laura,Rachelle (Neil) Wall and Heather; grandchildren, Crystal-Dawn, Deann,Michael, Samantha, Kevin, Josh, Justin, Devon and Levi;great-grandchild, Destiny; siblings, Joyce (Dennis) Short, Linda (Ted)House, Ken (Jacquie) Davis, George (Carol-Ann) Davis; sister in-lawDonna Davis; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by hisbrother, Bill. Arrangements are under the direction of J. A. WalkerFuneral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax (477-5601),where visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 11 from 2-4 and7-9 PM. A service of remembrance will be held on Thursday, January 12at 11 AM from the funeral home chapel, Rev. Allan Frye officiating;reception to follow. Private family burial. Family flowers only, inlieu of flowers, donations in Charlie’s memory may be made to theCanadian Cancer Society.
