Obituary of Lila Jollimore

JOLLIMORE, LILA BERNADETTE – 83 passed away suddenly February 1 at the Arborstone Nursing Home, Halifax.  Born in Terence Bay, Halifax County she was a daughter of the late Clyde and Edna Slaunwhite.  She will be greatly missed by her son Michael, Halifax, her daughter Annette (Mack), Hantsport and her sister Pat Avery (Doug), Terence Bay.  She was a quiet lady who enjoyed doing needlepoint, crocheting, jigsaw puzzles, reading, listening to music, taking care of her family and in less recent years managing their small grocery store.  She was predeceased by her husband James William, her son Leo and her brothers Jerry Slaunwhite, Joseph Slaunwhite, and William (Will) Slaunwhite.  Cremation has taken place under the direction of the J. Albert Walker Funeral Home.  There will be no visitation.  A memorial service will take place on Monday, February 6 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax with a reception following.  Rev. Lisa Vaughn will officiate.  Donations may be made to the S.S. Atlantic Society 180 Sandy Cove Rd, Terence Bay, B3T 1Y5 or the Anglican Parish of St. Paul, Terence Bay
