Obituary of Adeline Martha Collins

COLLINS, Adeline Martha – 97, Halifax, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 11, 2012, at home with her family by her side. Born in the Magdalene Islands, Quebec, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Annie (Dixon) Chanell. Adeline was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her daughter, Lorraine (Bill) Babin; son, Roy (Claudia) Collins; 5 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, David; 2 daughters, 1 son; 7 brothers; 2 sisters. Arrangements are under the direction of J. A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax (477-5601). A service of remembrance will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, February 15 from the funeral home chapel, Rev. Dianna Frye officiating. Interment to be held at a later date.
