Obituary of Violet M. Sullivan

SULLIVAN, Violet M. - 86, Halifax, born February 26, 1926 passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on Monday, February 27, 2012 at the QEII Halifax Infirmary. Born in Halifax she was the daughter of the late George and Violet Bedgood. Violet was a very kind and generous person who thought of everyone but herself, she loved life. She always loved a good joke and spending time with family and friends. Violet was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother "GG". She will be lovingly remembered and will never be forgotten by her sons; Alan (Heather), Terry (Audrey), both of Victoria, BC; daughters, Carol (Mike) Hurshman, Hatchet Lake; Kathy, Dartmouth; 5 grandsons and 5 great grandchildren;  half sister, Betty (Carl) Fry. She was predeceased by husbands, Lawrence Bulger and Ralph J. Sullivan; son, Larry Bulger; brother, Ron Bedgood; sisters, Helen Bedgood and Geraldine Harris. A special thank you is extended to Dr. Jackson and to Violet’s favorite nurses of 8.2, QEII, for their compassionate care. Arrangements are under the care of J.A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, (477-5601), where visitation will be held on Saturday, March 3 from 11 a.m – 1 p.m., with memorial service to follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the World Vision Fund.
