Obituary of Glenn Wayne Arnold Pennycook

Pennycook, Glenn Wayne Arnold- 69. It is with great sadness that we announce  that Glenn passed  away at home, surrounded by his loving family on Monday, April 9, 2012 after a short battle with cancer. Born June 19, 1942 in Winnipeg, Manitoba and moved to Halifax in 1973, where he worked as a Stationary Engineer and Operations Manager at Cole Harbour Place for 22 years until his retirement in 2002. He was a devoted, loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by his wife of 39 years, Patricia Smith, his children, Brian Smith, Sherry Smith and his grandchildren, Brandon Smith-Slaunwhite and Morgan Smith. The family would like to thank the many doctors and nurses of the Nova Scotia Cancer Care Centre, QEII Cancer Care Program. A special thank you, to his family physician, Dr. Frank Lo for his unending care, and thank you to his many friends for their care and support. Cremation has taken place under the direction of J.A Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., and at Glenn’s request there will be no visitation or funeral services.
