Obituary of Bradley Wilfred MacLean
72, Halifax, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2012, at the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Glace Bay, he was a son of the late Wilfred and Marguerite (Jones) MacLean. Brad was an avid sports enthusiast, playing and coaching hockey for many years with Cliff Pelham (Halifax) and Donnie Neet (Halifax). He also played football, softball and his favorite sport, curling. Brad was well known for his knowledge on the statistics of hockey teams, players, as well as football teams. He loved travelling with Lynn to Florida every year on vacation and enjoyed watching his children participate in sporting activities also. Bradley is survived by loving wife Lynn (Brackett); sons, Robert, Alan, both of Halifax; daughter, Dayna MacLean, Herring Cove; brother, Norman (Carol), Sudbury, ON; sister, Roberta Lord (Don) Bedford; sister-in-law, Agnes, Herring Cove; granddaughter Hali. He was predeceased by brother Howard. Arrangements are under the care of J.A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., (477-5601), 149 Herring Cove Rd., where visitation will be held Thursday April 19, from 7-9 p.m. A service of remembrance will be held on Friday April 20, at 2 p.m., at the Earl Francis Legion, Spryfield. Donations in memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia.
