Obituary of Wayne Robert William Ramsay

47, Halifax, passed away April 30, 2012 at the Halifax Infirmary. Born May 7, 1964 , he was the son of William "Bill" and Joan (Wentzell) Ramsay, Halifax. Wayne grew up on Bauer St. and in the north end of Halifax. He was a very friendly person who had many friends as a child and as an adult. He did many errands and chores for anyone who asked. Wayne was employed by Water Works and then at N.S. Tractor when he became disabled by a life long illness. He loved going to P.E.I. to visit his aunts and uncles and many, many cousins, all of which he had great fun with (mostly at his expense) and thoroughly enjoyed when Donna and the rest of the Culliton girls would cook hid favorite food until he couldn’t eat anymore. Besides his parents, Wayne is also survived by wife, Deborah "Debbie" (Johnson) Ramsay, step children; Peter Johnson, fiancé Jaymie, Leslie (Bobby) Clyke, Paulette Parent, Katie, British Columbia, Kaleb at home, sisters, Darlene (George) Tate, Antigonish, Sharon (Mark) MacGovern, Medicine Hat, AB, Cathy (Mike) Harrison, Halifax, five grandchildren, Brendan, Bryson, Aaliyah, Dante, Mariah, one step great grandson, Tanner, numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by is precious step son Kevin Johnson. Arrangements are under the care of J.A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. (477-5601). No visitation by request. A funeral mass will be held on Friday May 4, at 11 a.m. from the St. Michaels’ Roman Catholic Church, St. Michael’s Ave., reception to follow in the church hall. Interment to take place following reception for the family only in St. Johns Cemetery, Halifax. In lieu of flowers, donations are greatly appreciated to the family.
