Obituary of Frances Elizabeth Drake

DRAKE, Frances Elizabeth – 88, Halifax, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 in the QEII Health Sciences Center. Born in Glace Bay, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Cameron) MacPhee. She will lovingly be remembered by her son, Jeff, Halifax; daughters, Joanne Smith (Robert), Shubenacadie and Lorna Russell (Richard), Porters Lake; grandchildren, Travis and Brian Russell; great-granddaughter, Jessica Christopher; brother, Douglas "Buzzie" MacDonald, Ontario; sisters, Archina "Sissie" Jessome, Glace Bay and Marie MacPhee, Windsor, Ontario; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband, Alfred Drake; sons, Hollis Michael and Gary; daughter, Deborah Ann in infancy; granddaughter, Lee-Ann Christopher; brother, Jimmy MacDonald; sisters, Theresa Cameron and Katie Rutledge. Arrangements are under the direction of J. A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. In keeping with Frances’ wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian T. B. Association or the CNIB.
