Obituary of Nancy Ruth Zinck

ZINCK, (Cadenhead) Nancy Ruth – East Dover, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at the Halifax Infirmary QEII. Born in Toronto, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Minnie Cadenhead. She was a member of William Black Memorial United Church, Glen Margaret. Nancy worked in many wonderful offices as a legal secretary and executive assistant, most recently at Salter Street Films in Halifax. Nancy is survived by her husband of 47 years, Garfield "Ken"; son, Jim (Kim), Toronto; daughter, Deborah (Gil), Edmonton; grandchildren, Noah, Simon and Nick; brothers, Tom (Mary), Fergus, ON and Bruce (Valerie), Scarborough, ON. She was predeceased by a son and two daughters in infancy. Arrangements are under the direction of J. A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. In keeping with Nancy’s wishes there will be no visitation. A service of remembrance will be held on Wednesday, May 16 at 2 PM in William Black Memorial United Church, Glen Margaret, Rev. Sandra Cox officiating; with a reception to follow in the church hall. Private burial will take place in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the William Black Memorial United Church or to a charity of one’s choice.
