Obituary of Jo-Anne Sara Kelly

KELLY, (MacDonald) Jo-Anne Sara - 47, Halifax.  It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jo-Anne on Friday, June 15, 2012 surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.  Born in Halifax on December 23, 1964, she was the daughter of James and Rowena (Greenwood) MacDonald. Jo-Anne lived life to the fullest and will always be remembered for her kind and generous spirit. She will be greatly missed by her husband of 14 years, Raymond; sister, Rowena Baker; brother, Jamie (Christina)  MacDonald; nephews, Allan (Carolyn) Baker and Jamie MacDonald; niece, Sarah MacDonald, all of Halifax; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Jo-Anne was predeceased by her brother in-law Allan Baker.  Special thanks to Dr. Sue Robinson and all of the medical staff that provided such wonderful care to Jo-Anne throughout the years. Arrangements are under the direction of J. A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, (477-5601), where visitation will be held on Sunday, June 17 and Monday, June 18 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 19 at 11 AM in St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, 14 St. Michael’s Ave, Halifax; Fr. Frank Pellerin officiating. Interment to follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Ketch Harbour. Flowers are welcome.
