Obituary of Audrey May

84, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, July 6, 2012. Born in Lally Cove, Newfoundland, residing in Halifax, she will lovingly be remembered and sadly missed by her children, William (Heather), Gale (Cyril), Larry (Joan), Guy (Bev), Clay, Brent (Krystal), Todd (Nanette), Shannon (Lisa); 14 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She is also survived by sister, Pamela (Joe); brother, Ernest (Emily). Audrey was predeceased by former husband, William Murphy; son, Ernest Murphy; daughter, Rosanne Gritten; grandson, Corey Murphy; sister, Deb Sorrie. Cremation has taken place under the care of J. A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax (477-5601). In keeping with Audrey’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A service celebrating Audrey’s life will be held on Tuesday, July 10 at 1 PM from the funeral home chapel, Lt. Rob Jeffery officiating; with a reception to follow. Committal will be held in St. John’s Cemetery Columbarium. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NS.
