Obituary of Aiden Michael David MacKenzie

3, Dartmouth. It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Aiden. Born on November 11, 2008 he passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2012. Aiden always had a smile and loved to run free. He enjoyed going for ferry rides and playing with his trucks, tractors and bikes and he loved his buddies at Peterbilt. He enjoyed the company of others, but mostly loved spending time with his big sister, and always looked forward to his special daddy time, and getting to see his doggie, Kota. He will always be daddy's little man and in daddy’s heart forever. He will lovingly be remembered and never forgotten by his mother and stepfather, Amy Young and Derek Halden; father, Michael MacKenzie; sister, Makayla MacKenzie; maternal grandparents, Eugene Young (Debbie Jardine) and Darlene "Sus" Morash; paternal grandparents, Tom and Sandra MacKenzie; Nanny and Poppy from Cape Breton; paternal great-grandparents, Ronald and Maureen MacKenzie and Gracie Grant; godparents, Amber Herritt and Guyreese Smith; Special aunts and uncles, Natasha Young, Dale Blackmore, Gillian and Terry Jones, Bonnie MacKenzie, David MacKenzie, and all his cousins, Unique, Asia, Dalen, Lola, Madden, Kellen, Brandon and baby Nuelle.; many aunts, uncles and extended family. He was predeceased by maternal great-grandparents, Lionel and Ina Young and Hector and Muriel Morash; great uncle, Aubrey Young. Arrangements are under the direction of J. A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax (477-5601), where visitation will be held on Thursday, July 26 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 27 at 11 AM from the funeral home chapel, Rev. Marilyn Newport officiating; reception to follow. Interment will be held in St. James Anglican Cemetery, West Dover.
