Obituary of Margaret Rosemary Dempsey

89 - Halifax, formerly of Ketch Harbour, passed away August 5, 2012 at St. Vincent's Guest Home.  Born September 8, 1922 in Ketch Harbour, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (Webster) Wilkie.  Margaret was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Ketch Harbour.  Margaret is survived by daughter Margaret Rose Flemming (Eldon Kirk) Sambro, and sons Barry (Patricia) Sambro and Alan (June) Ketch Harbour, sister Corinne Flemming (Frank), Spryfield, grandchildren; Angela Flemming (Peter Gray); Christy and Ashley Dempsey; and Jeremy Dempsey, great grandchildren; Jacob and Issac Gray as well as a number of nieces and nephews and great nephews.  She was predeceased by her husband Parker and grandchildren, Pamela, Anthony and Mary.  We would like to thank the caring staff at St. Vincent's Guest Home for their kind and compassionate care.  Arrangements are under the care of J.A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. (477-5601).  No visitation by request.  Funeral mass will be held on Friday, August 10 at 10am from St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Ketch Harbour, Fr. Frank Pellerin as celebrant.  Interment to follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Ketch Harbour.  Family flowers only.  Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
