Obituary of Reginald "Reg" Fagan

Fagan, Reginald "Reg"- 79, Halifax, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. Born in St.Mary’s, NL, he was the son of the late Joseph and Bridget (Yetman) Fagan. He is survived by his wife, Theresa (Grant); son, Gerard (Janice) Fagan, daughters, Donna (Ken) Joudrey, Elizabeth (Jimmy) Fagan, Margie (Derek) Hamm; Gina (Donald) MacGillivray; 14 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, brothers, Larry and Hugh, sisters, Carmel and Sr. Monica. He was predeceased by four brothers. Reg began his career as a teacher in St. Mary’s, followed by 35 years with Coast Guard Marine Radio. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, enjoyed woodworking, volunteering with the Red Cross Blood Services and loved playing cards. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the QEII Emergency Dept and the VG Palliative Care Unit.Arrangements are under the care of J.A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. (477-5601) 149 Herring Cove Rd., where visitation will take place from 2-4  & 6-8 p.m. Sunday, August  12. A funeral mass will be held from the St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church,. at 11:00 a.m. Monday August 13. Followed by an interment in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville.
