Obituary of Melina A. DeWolfe

  DEWOLFE, Melina Alvina – 82, Eastern Passage, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 19, 2012 at home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Arichat, she was a daughter of the late Remi and Annie (Martel) LeBlanc. Melina was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who cherished her family more than anything. She will lovingly be remembered and never forgotten by her children, Marie Parker, Donna (Dan) Bowden, Carolyn DeWolfe, Betty (Gerald) Bowden, Gerald DeWolfe, Claire DeWolfe, Richard (Mary) DeWolfe and Lynn (Tony) Beals; 24 Grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis; grandson, Gregory Martin; brothers, Paul, Fred, Adam, Joe, Remi, Gustave, Newman, Colley, Albert, Leonard and Andrew; sisters, Carrita, May, Eva, Alma, Margaret and Mary. Arrangements are under the care and direction of J. A. Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax (477-5601), where visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 22 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 23 at 10 AM in St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, Rev. Laporte officiating. Interment will follow in Oakridge Memory Gardens, Lower Sackville. In lieu of flowers, donations in Melina’s memory maybe made to the IWK.
