Obituary of Linda Jones

Jones, Linda Lois:  64, Halifax, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at the VG Site, QEII, Halifax, NS, with loving friends by her side.  Born in Toronto, she was the daughter of the late Les and Vera (Silliker) Jones.  For many years, Linda had worked in the library at NASCAD, from where she recently retired.  She was an accomplished and talented artist, dedicating herself to the art of bead work.  Linda is survived by her brother, Paul, two siblings, Yolanda and Jason, and their mother, Vanessa, as well as her former spouse Phil Potvin.  She will also be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her two best friends and sisters of the heart, Wendy and Heather.               At Linda’s request, cremation will take place under the care and direction of JA Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax, (477.5601).  A memorial service will be celebrated at a later date.  Remembrances in memory of Linda may be made to the charity of one’s choice and words of comfort may be sent to the family by visiting www.walkerfh.com
