Obituary of Jean Mary Foster

77, Hubley, passed away in the presence of her loving family on Monday, September 10, 2012 in the Palliative Care Unit, VG Site. Born in Halifax on August 22, 1935, she was the daughter of the late R.J. and Lillian Laprise. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Godfrey A. Foster, two sons, Stephen A. (Jackie) and Christopher R, (Gary), grandchildren, James A. Parker and Stephanie C. Foster and three great grandchildren., brother, Raymond Billard and sisters, Gail Julian (Carl) and Beverly Baker (Paul), and numerous neices and nephews. She was predeceased by sister, Eilene Lovell (Gerald). Jean was a proud homemaker and volunteer for various organizations in the community. Jean   was employed in the bill collection services. Jean was an avid card player enjoyed many a game with family and friends and maintained her sense of humour. Cremation has taken place under the care of J.Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Rd. (477-5601), where visitation will be held on Friday, September 14 from 10 – 11 a.m., with funeral service at 11 a.m., reception to follow in the funeral home lounge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Palliative Care, QEII Foundation. Special thanks to Palliative Care, V.G Site for their care and compassion given to mom.
