Obituary of Shirley Beckman

Beckman, Shirley Jean:  74, Halifax, passed away at home on November 29, 2012.  Born on Tancook Island, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Dora (Wilneff) baker.  She was a wonderful mother who will be missed and always loved by daughters, Janice Oakley (Stephen), Sheila Martin (Fraser), and Deborah "Debbie" Beckman, and sons, David, Shawn, and Craig.  She is also survived by her sisters, Hosie Young, Elmith Hardy, Faye Girardin, and Verda Rhodenizer, brothers, Sterling, Keith, Dale, and Steadman, as well as 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her son, James "Jimmy", and brother, Neil.               Arrangements are under the care and direction of JA Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Halifax (477.5601), where a memorial service will be held in the chapel on Monday, December 3, 2012 at 11 AM with Rev.
