Obituary of Miriam Suzely Munguia
22, Halifax, passed away March 14, 2013, with her family by her side, in the V.G. Site, QEII. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, U.S.A., she was a daughter of Edgar and Mercedes (Oliva) Munguia, Halifax. Miriam was a graduate of Citadel High School, class of 2008. She loved the Lord and her church family at Stoneridge Fellowship, always looking out for the spiritual well being of her friends and put everyone else before herself. She loved to travel to Ottawa, was adventurous, funny, an avid animal lover and very gracious. She was an encouraging person. Along with her parents, Miriam was also survived by sisters, Lorena Forrest (Daniel), Halifax; Carlota Hernandez (Alberto), Ottawa, Ont.; paternal grandmother Carlota Bonilla; numerous aunts and uncles; and special childhood friend Korey Nolan Bell and school friends. She will also be sadly missed by her very special friend, Kobi. She is predeceased by paternal grandfather Jorge Bonilla. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. (477-5601) 149 Herring Cove Rd, where visitation will take place from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Monday March 18. A celebration of Miriam’s life will be held from Stoneridge Fellowship 85 Temple Terrace, Lower Sackville Tuesday March 19 at 2 p.m. Rev. Dr. Leslie Somers officiating, reception to follow in the hall. Interment to take place in St. John’s Cemetery, Bedford Highway, Halifax. Donations in memory may be made to Stoneridge Fellowship Memorial Fund or to the Munguia Family.
